Help Build a School
october 23rd was a great day when over 30 students graduated from kindergarten in Empash community…
Their parents watched with excitement as their teacher, Ms. Natalie, conducted the closing ceremony to end the school year. Empash community has no school, so Miss Natalie volunteered to teach the children from her village, one of them being her own daughter. She has been using a church that her husband pastors as the school building during the week. Moments after the excitement, heartbreak came when the students learned that they cannot come back next school year and will have to enroll in a different school for the next grade. The reason being-the church is only one room and cannot hold two grades at a time.
With no roads, children as young as 6 years old will have to walk through the bush, to the closest school nearly 3-5 miles away. Many of these children will drop out of school because they simply won't make the trek. You can make a significant difference by helping us build a school and transform the Empash village through education. We need $25K to make this happen.
Together, we can make this a reality
